In a captivating collaboration with the CSSL GenZ Chapter of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, the event on "Research Areas in IoT" featured the distinguished Mr. Shakthi Weerasinghe as its keynote speaker. Held on the 21st of August 2022 via Zoom from 6:00 p.m. onwards, the session aimed to broaden knowledge, dispel doubts and provide a hands-on learning experience in the dynamic field of the Internet of Things (IoT). Mr. Shakthi Weerasinghe, a luminary in the realm of information technology, brought a wealth of expertise to the virtual podium. Holding a first-class degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Context Aware Computing. As an academic tutor at Deakin University, Mr. Weerasinghe imparts knowledge and inspiration to aspiring minds. His academic journey includes a stint as a former lecturer at the University of Moratuwa and as a former Software Engineer for 99x Technologies.
